History of Our Auto Service Center
Triad Auto Specialty Inc. began as an auto service center designed specifically for Honda owners back in August of 1978. The original name of the company at the time was Triad Honda Shop, Inc. Grant Swaim founded this Honda service and repair businesses on Mary Street in Greensboro.
By 1983, American Honda requested that all repair shops cease using the Honda name unless they were a Honda dealer; therefore, our name evolved to what it is today. In 1986, we built a new location on West Wendover. At this point, the Acura was introduced by Honda, and with much enthusiasm, we extended our service to these vehicles.
In 1994, the business was sold to two employees with sixteen years of service to the company named Terry Wagner and Ray Elliott. Terry and Ray were able to continue the Triad Auto tradition with the same experienced technicians. Under this new ownership, our auto service center made their last two moves to Boeing and, lastly, into our own building located on Cessna Drive. We have grown to 10 employees over the years and feel we have been greatly blessed to provide our high-quality automotive services to our community for so many years.
